1,000 kilometers across the Mongolian steppe on 28 half-wild horses, in ten days, with a 5 kg saddlebag and a map. Megan is riding it. We're sponsoring it one kilometer at a time, and meeting every dog along the way.
1,000 km. 28 horses. Every dog along the way.
Pet Every Dog has always been about the places you go to find the dogs. Dexpeditions is where Megan goes furthest. The herder families who lend the Derby its horses keep Bankhar dogs, the great shaggy guardians of the steppe. She intends to meet every one of them.
Every 35 km Megan swaps to a fresh horse at a herder station. Sponsor a station and you name the horse she rides out on it. She'll post a photo of your horse, with your name, from the station itself.

Kilometers are the unit. Each one is $20. When all 1,000 are spoken for, the expedition is funded. Every sponsor's name goes on the Kilometer Wall, and bigger tiers come with real things from the ride.
Pick an amount or type your own. Your name goes on the Kilometer Wall either way, and anything at $700 or more claims a Horse Station.
Your name on the Kilometer Wall. Pick any unsponsored km between 1 and 1,000.
Sponsor 1 kmFive kilometers on the Wall plus the Dexpeditions sticker pack, mailed to you.

Sponsor 10 kmA full leg of the race. You name the horse Megan rides out on it, and she posts your horse, with your name, from the station.
A small gift Megan picks out herself on the steppe, mailed to you when she's home. Limited to what fits in a 5 kg saddlebag.
Your logo on the riding kit and saddlebag patch, sponsored posts during the race, and a permanent spot on this page.
Some of you want to help Megan get to the start line. Some of you want to help the people and animals of the steppe. Both are welcome, and we keep them completely separate so you always know which one you gave to.
Covers the ride itself: the entry fee, flights to Ulaanbaatar, kit, insurance. This money goes to Megan. It is not a charitable donation and it isn't tax-deductible, so we say so plainly.
Every rider is required to raise money for the Derby's charity partner. Gifts go straight to the charity on its own page, so you get a proper receipt and the organizers can verify every dollar. A fixed amount from every Dexpeditions shirt goes here too.
Five spots on the kit. Five logos that go 1,000 km across Mongolia and show up in every photo from the ride.
Every piece is printed to order and shipped straight to you, so nothing sits in a garage and every dollar of margin goes where it says. Each product shows exactly how much goes to the ride and how much goes to the Derby charity.
Prices and splits are placeholders to argue about. The live store runs on Shopify with print-on-demand fulfillment (Printful or Printify), so orders print in 2–5 days and ship worldwide with no inventory and no upfront cost.
Mongol Derby badge on the chest, Pet Every Dog on the sleeve. Soft cotton, unisex sizes XS–3XL.
The expedition line, front and center. Cream or navy.
Heavyweight fleece for 5am rides and 5pm trail walks. Badge on the chest, "Dexpeditions" down the sleeve.
Six-panel cap with the embroidered badge. The one Megan will actually wear in Mongolia.
Three die-cut vinyl stickers: the badge, the Pet Every Dog mark, and Belly Rub Distributor. Weatherproof.
15 oz ceramic. Dishwasher safe, which is more than can be said for a saddlebag.

The day-to-day lives on the expedition channels. During the race, the tracker and the live feed post here first.
One honest update a month until the start line. During the race, this becomes the live feed from the tracker.
The email came on a Tuesday. Forty-five riders from around the world, and one veterinarian from Ohio who has never been to Mongolia.
Hours on a horse now, so that ten days on 28 of them later is merely very hard instead of impossible.
A vet's introduction to the dog of the steppe, and the reason this expedition belongs on a site about petting every dog.
Dexpeditions is Megan's series of big, slightly unreasonable trips, and every one of them feeds the same map. When she's back from Mongolia, the dogs she met go on the Unfinished Map next to the ones from Peru and Patagonia, and the next expedition starts to take shape.
If you found us because of the Derby, welcome. There's a whole world of good dogs in here.
